Group 1: single manual treatment + recommendation (to the parents) for "tummy time" --> moilisation (repetitive/ holding) and manipulation appropriate for infants. due to the concept 2-5 minutes. cons

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • idiopathic infantile asymmetry without systemic primary disease • age: 3,5-6 months • proof of reversible functional segmental disorder of the musculoskeletal system • symmetriescore of at least 10 points or more

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • suspected presence of an symptomatic infantile postural asymmetry in consequence of neurologic diseases, metabolic disorder, known dysplasy of the spinal chord or patients being treated because of hip dysplasia, splint therapy, chromosomal aberration/ genetic caused anomalia or infantile scoliosis • diagnosed muscular torticollis • consisting chronic or acute infection • prematurity (birth < 37. WoP) • manual resp. osteopathic treatment during the last 4 weeks • physiotherapeutic treatment (neurological basis) during the last 2 weeks • vaccination during the last 2 weeks • missing segmental functional disorder of the musculoskeletal system • parents with poor knowledge of German language
