Group 1: Patients will be resuscitated according to the European Resuscitations Council guidelines.
Group 2: Patients will be resuscitated according to the European Resuscitations Council guidelines.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients who will be resuscitated out of hospital by the EMS (emergency medical service) of the county of Osnabrück (Niedersachsen, Germany).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: All patients with a traumatic cardiac arrest or patient who are resuscitated shorter than 1 minute will be excluded. Prisoners will be excluded as well.
