Interventions

Group 1: Patients will be resuscitated according to the European Resuscitations Council guidelines. Group 2: Patients will be resuscitated according to the European Resuscitations Council guidelines.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients who will be resuscitated out of hospital by the EMS (emergency medical service) of the county of Osnabrück (Niedersachsen, Germany).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: All patients with a traumatic cardiac arrest or patient who are resuscitated shorter than 1 minute will be excluded. Prisoners will be excluded as well.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1.1. Does a realtime-feedbacksystem influences the quality of resuscitation (compression depth, compression rate and pauses in chest compression). 1.2. Accomplishing the European Resuscitation Councils (ERC) standards regarding compression depth, compression rate and pauses in chest compression.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
2.1. Change in short time survival defined as ROSC (return of spontaneous circulation) at hospital admission.
