Medical indication for an MRI with the follwoing sequences: DTI, T1, T2 und ggf. CISS. 2. Signed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Trigeminus-Patienten: 1.Implants containing metal and or pace makers because of which an MRI is not possible. Kontroll-Patienten: 1. Known cranial nerve deficit of any sort. 2. Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Correlation of FA-normalisation (DTI-MRI) with clinical recovery after MVD measured by a standardised BPI-facial questionaire after 3 months.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluating the DTI-method as a possible predicitive instrument in patients with trigeminal neuralgia and the correlation with the intraoperative findings concerning neuro-vascular conflict.
