Group 1: Harvesting of a part of the pericardial tissue as part of a necropsy. Afterwards experiments with determination of endpoints.

Inclusion criteria: deceased, critical ill patients; surviving dependants gave their consent to a necropsy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known pericardial disease (exception: isolated serous pericardial effusion)
