Group 1: Patients who are not suffering from an acute illness of the ear and who are between 50 and 75 years old, are interviewed by Mini Audio Test (MAT) with respect to their hearing. In addition,

Inclusion criteria: Patients with hearing disorders

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Acute inflammatory diseases of the ear and acute sudden hearing loss

The goal is to verify the results of a primary study of Löhler et al. regarding sensitivity and specificity of MAT for detecting a relevant hardness of hearing or if these must be corrected in order to establish the MAT as a general screening method to examine hardness of hearing	—
