Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy men, over 18 years of age; non-smokers; participants, who have given consent to the study participation voluntarily and in written form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Smokers; participants with diseases of the gastro-intestinal tract, the metabolism, the nervous system as well as with inflammatory or autoimmune diseases requiring treatment; participants with cancer; participants with acute or chronic infectious illnesses; participants with alcohol or substance abuse; participants with cardiovascular diseases and/or cardiac pacemaker; participants with food intolerances to gluten, fructose, lactose; participants who donated blood within the past three months; participants who are expected not to comply with study conditions; participants who are institutionalised due to an administrative or court order; participants who have not given written consent to participate in the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF-21) in Plasma before, during and after intervention.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Interleukin 6 (IL-6), irisin, beta- aminoisobutyric acid (BAIBA), myostatin in plasma, metabolic parameters of the glucose and fat metabolism, and metabolite profiles in plasma and urine before, during and after intervention.
