| max. range of motion (ROM) for extension, flexion, rotation, lateral flexion and acceleration of the spine. Recording of the measured data will start with the test and end with the end of the measurement series. Movements of the cervical spine are recorded with an Xsens wireless human motion tracker (Xsens Technologies, Enschede, Netherlands). Two inertial measurement units (IMU) measure the movement, whereby one IMU is attached to the forehead with a headband and one IMU at the front of the chest. This enables the recording of 3D orientation, 3D acceleration, and 3D angular velocity. Movements of the thoracic and lumbar spine are recorded with the Epionics SPINE System (Epionics Medical GmbH, Potsdam, Germany). For this 12 flexion sensors and two positional space sensors are applied paravertebrally and in pairs along the thoracic and lumbar spine. | — |
