18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age between 18 and 75 Group 1: healthy, no known cardiac disease, no diabetes Group 2: stable coronary artery disease, no diabetes Group 3: stable coronary artery disease and type 2 diabetes Group 4: patients with acute coronary syndrome

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: All participants 1. pregnancy 2. renal failure (creatinin >265umol) 3. liver failure 4. hematologic diseases 5. malignancy within the last 5 years (no evidence of relapse at the time of inclusion) 6. acute or chronic inflammatory disease 7. patient is unable to give informed consent 8. organ transplantation in history 9. acute shock 10. diabetes mellitus type 1 11. metabolic diseases such as heriditary lipometabolic disorders 12. in all groups except the type 2 diabetes group: type 2 diabetes
