18 Years to 45 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: 18-45 2. Ability and willingness to participate at the study 3. Ability to give written informed consent 4. Right-handedness 5. A maximum of 5 hours of sleep during the night preceding the study. 6. German (or Swiss German) as mother tongue 7. Normal or corrected to normal vision 8. Females: luteal phase of menstrual cycle

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Current or previous neurological or psychiatric disorders, or severe somatic disorders 2. Medical or neurological illness with possible influence on the brain physiology (e.g. arterial hypertension, cardiovascular disease, Morbus Parkinson) 3. Intake of psychotropic medication or psychoactive substances 4. Drug abuse 5. Drug addiction including alcohol within the last two years 6. Pregnancy (pregnancy test will be conducted with every female participant) 7. Current breastfeeding 8. Heart or head surgeries 9. Metal objects on or in the body (e.g. grenade splinter, cardiac pacemaker, vessel clips, metal prostheses, contraceptive coil, cochlear implant, artificial anus with metal cap, hearing aid, tooth implant) 10. Tattoos close to head, neck or shoulder and permanent make-up 11. Claustrophobia 12. Score over 10 at the Epworth Sleepiness scale

Memory performance: difference between tDCS and sham tDCS of sleep consolidation, which is the difference between recalled items (grey-scaled faces and associated occupation of the FERET database) before and after sleep
