Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a) age 18+ b) have back pain c) have a mild to moderate depression (PHQ = 5 and SCID ICD-10 F32.0/F32.1/F33.0/F33.1) d) not suicidal or suicidal attempts in the past e) medically suitable for participation f) sufficient knowledge of the German language g) sufficient computer und internet literacy for participation h) have internet access

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: a) current serve depression according to SCID (F32.2/F32.3/F33.2/F33.3)

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Depression severity (HAM-D) at pre-treatment as well as 9 weeks and 6 months after randomisation.

Online survey at pre-treatment, as well as 9 weeks and 6 months after randomisation. health related quality of life (EQ-5D), depression response and remission (SKID, QIDS, PHQ-9), pain intensity (Rating scale), pain associated disability (ODI), working capacity (SPE), self-efficacy (PSEQ), satisfaction with the intervention (CSQ-8), side-effects of the intervention (INEP) and intervention adherence (attrition rate) as well as costs of the intervention (TiC-P)
