Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Male adults with an increased cramp susceptibility

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Injuries of the musculoskeletal system of the lower extremities and cardiopulmonary diseases.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Measuring the minimal stimulation frequency that is able to induce a cramp of the m. gastrocnemius medialis. This measurements will be performed prior to the intervention (pre), midway into the intervention (mid, 3 weeks), and after the intervention (post, 6 weeks).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Participants will document all of their cramps in a cramp log two weeks prior to the intervention, during the intervention, and two weeks after the intervention.
