Group 1: Optical impression: The surface of edentulous jaws will be captured with intraoral scanners following a specific scan pattern. Group 2: Conventional impression: Impressions of edentulous jaw

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Edentulism in the upper and/or lower jaws, no infectious diseases, age =21 years, healthy systemic conditions, and the patients had to be at the dental school for treatment of the edentulism.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presents of teeth, missing ability to understand the objectives and procedures of the study, and refusal to sign the informed consent.
