Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with amputation, or patients who are going to be amputated or participants with dysmelia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Neuropsychiatric diseases, dementia, missing legal capacity

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Factors that influence the development of phantom pain will be assessed using functional neuroimaging and electroencephalographie. Influencing factors are psychological states before amputation and cortical excitability as measured using transcranial magnetic stimulation (2015-2019).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Potential for therapies for chronic pain. Identification of cortical targets involved in phantom pain will be modulated using combined transcranial magnetc stimulation and neuroimaging.
