Interventions

Group 1: Healthy subject, osteoartrhitis, chronic low back pain and chronic widespread pain. Brain-derived neurotrophic factor. This will be measured from serum samples by the method of enzyme-linked
depression and anxiety (HADS and BDI-II)

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of osteoarthritis, chronic low back pain and chronic widespread pain; on the VAS the pain should be a minimum of 4; patients need to be between 18- 70 years; patients need to be able to talk and write German fluently

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: pregnancy, lactation period, cancer, cardiac anomaly, depression, diabetis, acute or inflammatory ailment, new injury; healthy patients should not have chronic pain

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
brain-derived neurotrophic factor. This will be measured from serum samples by the method of enzyme-linked immunosorbent (ELISA) assay.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Body composition, Pain intensity (visual analogue scale), fatigue (visual analogue scale). Health related quality of life will be measured by Short-Form-12. Mood related disorders will be measured by Beck's depression inventory and Hospital and anxiety depression scale, Sleep related quality will be measured by Epworth sleepiness scaleand Pittsburgh Sleep quality. These all parameters/questionnaires will be measured once on recuritment day.
