Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: BMI > 97. percentile; informed consent by parents; objectively measured BMI-SDS before and after rehabilitation
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: secondary obesity, hyperkinetic disorder with medication, mental retardation; additional specification for per-protocol-analyses: no training after randomization, incorrect implementation of training, less than three training sessions

| The primary outcome is the BMI-SDS-course 6 and 12 months after the end of the rehabilitation. The BMI is assessed at the beginning and at the end of rehabilitation by the medical staff of the clinics and 6 and 12 months after the end of rehabilitation by the family doctor of the participants. | — |

| Secondary outcomes are the self-regulation skills of the children (e.g. Brief Self Control Scale), with well be assessed with questionnaires and computerized tests (IAT, dot probe, Stroop Task) at the beginning and the end of the rehabilitation. The following questionnaires are used: an adaptation of the weight-specific self-efficacy questionnaire for children and adolescents, the GW-LQ-KJ (weight-related quality of life and the food intake) and a self-constructed food frequency list. | — |
