MeasureTime frame
Primary targets/ Outcome a) Application for a medical rehabilitation from the statutory pension insurance b) Commencement of insurable employment c) Work ability: people, who do not receive follow-up services or any other pension after their disability pension, are classified as able to work. MeasureTime frame
Retrospective data Health-related quality of life The health-related quality of life should be formulated retrospectively for the period of time before a disability pension, in accordance with the Short Form Health Survey (SF-12). The Short Form Health Survey is the most commonly used instrument for the measurement of subjective health status. Thereby health-related quality of life is seen as a multidimensional construct, which includes the mental as well as physical condition, social relationships, and functional activities of daily living. The SF-12 consists of 12 items that are combined to two sum scales transformed to the value range of 0 to 100. These sum scales describe the mental and the physical health related quality of life. Subjective importance of work To record the subjective importance of work the relevant scale from the questionnaire on work-related behavior and experience patterns (AVEM-44) is used. The AVEM-44 is a multidimensional personality diagnostic procedure, with which a differentiated self-assessment of behavior and experience in relation to employment and occupation can be gathered. The considered scale consists of four items. These items are formulated as statements, which are to be assessed on a five-point scale ("strongly agree" to "strongly disagree"). After occasional transcoding p.r.n. of individual items is completed, the items are combined into a sum scale with the range of 4-20. The scale is used in a retrospective form to be able to detect the subjective importance of work in the lives of disability pensioners. The aim is not to obtain a valid estimate of the actual assessment of the significance before receiving pension. Rather, it is assumed that the current assessment of the former importance of work has an impact on the research question. Characteristics of the previous job Psychosocial work requirements of the previous job are collected by use of the retrospective short version of the Job Content Questionnaire. This inc
