Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: o acute cerebral disease, o treatment on the Neuro-intensive care unit, Klinikum Kassel, o patient`s with intracranial cerebral monitoring (Neurovent-P, Raumedic AG, Münchberg, Germany), o Intracranial pressure (before therapy) = 18 years
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Common exclusion criteria`s for manual lymphatic drainage o congestive heart failure, o acute inflammation (generalized (sepsis) or localized in the head-neck area, o malignant tumor, Furthermore there are those exclusion criteria`s: o missing patient consent, o patient`s age 30mmHg within the last 6 hours, o temperature > 38,5°C within the last 6 hours, o glucose level 500 mg/dl within the last 6 hours, o PH 7,45 within the last 6 hours, o ICP-therapy within the last 6 hours (defined as: Elevation of analgosedation, Osmo-therapy, hypertonic NaCl, ventricular drainage, neurosurgery, TRIS buffer)
