Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Swelling (circumferential measurement at 5 points on the operated leg, with a non-elastic tape measure). The circumference is measured in millimeters pre-operative and on day 1, 3, 6 and 42. The measurement was standardized and always takes place at the same time.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1.Active knee range of motion (measured with a goniometer)2. Pain (Numeric Rating Scale). The measurements 1. and 2. are taken preoperative and day 1, 3, 6 and 42 postoperative. 3. Ability to walk (Fast self paced walking test). This measurement is taken preoperative and day 6 and 42 postoperative. All measurements have been standardized and are performed at the same time of the day.
