Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Clinically diagnosed epicondylitis with minimum of three month of pain with previously unsuccessful conservative treatment

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Local injections in the last month in the region of the epicondyle, Laser treatment to the affected arm previously, Evidence of disordered pain perception, Pregnancy, Rheumatic diseases, Systemic-inflammatory diseases, Hemato-oncological diseases with low platelet numbers, Infectious diseases

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The detected parameters were a visual analogue scale (VAS) for pain with a range from 0 (no pain) to 10 (most severe pain), as well as the Disabilities of arm, shoulder and hand (DASH) questionnaire. The control examinations were conducted before therapy, after two month, six month and after one year.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Additionally examination of the elbow, of limitations in extension movements and demographic data (age, gender, job, freetime activity) were evaluated before treatment, after two, six and 12 month.
