Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: all patients with an AECOPD sent to RKO recovering from the excerabtion and do not participate in an rehabilitation programm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: any disease or condition preventing the participant completing the regulary training sessions with the IMT such as cancer, sever cardiac or orthpedic diseases, extrem obesity with respiratory insufficiency with indication to NIV or an PCO2 more than 50 mmHG.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Pimary endpoint is the difference of the PImax measurment at the beginnung of the study and after 3 months resistance training with the IMT-power breathe medic

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
secondary endpoints are the difference of the distance in the 6 MWT, dyspnoe according to the SGRQ, Lungfunction in the bodyplethysmography and changes in the Blood gas analysis fixed at the beginnig and after 3 months resistance training
