Interventions

Group 1: Patient´s anthropometric data are evaluated preoperatively and nocturnal oxygen saturation is measured via finger clip.

18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: elective surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: neurologic diseases which would affect breathing regulation (e.g. multiple sclerosis); chronic alcohol or drug abuse; infectious diseases (e.g. tuberculosis); severe mental disorders; patients who can not consent due to knowledge of language.

Measure	Time frame
To evaluate the prevalence of sleep disordered breathing nocturnal oxygen saturation is measured via finger clip the night before surgery.	—

Secondary

Measure	Time frame
To identify prädictors of sleep disordered breathing patient´s anthropometric profile is evaluated the day before surgery. Results are set in relation to results of nocturnal oxygen assesment.	—
