Group 1: Patient´s anthropometric data are evaluated preoperatively and nocturnal oxygen saturation is measured via finger clip.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: elective surgery
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: neurologic diseases which would affect breathing regulation (e.g. multiple sclerosis); chronic alcohol or drug abuse; infectious diseases (e.g. tuberculosis); severe mental disorders; patients who can not consent due to knowledge of language.
