Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Measurement of PCT serum-levels on the first five postoperative days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Measurement of CRP levels and number of leucocytes on the first five postoperative days. This is performed to evaluate differences between procalcitonin and these parameters. - Relationship between increase of pct-levels and postoperative complications - Relationship between increase of parameters (PCT, CRP und leukocytes) and postopertive SIRS. For that reason also SIRS parameters are detected.
