Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients who are diagnosed with obstructed defaecation and rectocele/rectal prolapse following the routine preoperative therapeutic and diagnostic protocol and who are indicated for the STARR-procedure.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: previous rectal operation during the last 12 months
