Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: one nightmare (DSM-IV) per week

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: depression, PTSD, sleepmedicine, aclohol abuse, dissoziative or psychotic disorder, psychopharmaca with influence on sleep

Primary

MeasureTime frame
nightmare frequency (self created questions), nightmare distress (Nightmare Distress Questionnaire (NDQ)), sleep quality (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI)), depression (Allgmeine Depressions Skala-L (ADS-L)) will be measured before (pre) the intervention and 2, 8, 14 weeks as well as 9 month after (post) the intervention.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
the compliance (e.g. number of reminders) and the drop out rate will be measured during the intervention. nightmare avoidance (self created questionnaire), nightmare self efficacy-Selbstwirksamkeit (self created questionnaire) will be measured before (pre) the intervention and 2, 8, 14 weeks as well as 9 month after (post) the intervention.
