Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • dry, itchy skin • age = 18 years • Pruritus intensity above NRS=3 (numercal rating scale 0-10)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Pregnancy, breast-feeding • Drug consumption, drug abuse • Active psychosomatic and psychiatric disorders • Known active malignant underlying disease • Topical application of tacrolimus, pimecrolimus, steroids or capsaicin in the 2 weeks immediately preceding the start of the study • Intake of antihistamines, steroids, cyclosporin A or other immunosuppressants, naltrexon, UV therapy in the 2 weeks immediately preceding the start of the study • Previous studies within the past 4 weeks
