Group 1: Dentin specimen 10% fluoride (Bifluorid 10®, F), one single use
30 second dry thin layer Group 2: Dentin specimen 1% chlorhexidine varnish (Cervitec® CHX), one single use Group 3: Dentin specimen (without treatment)

18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - in good general health - at least 22 natural teeth with no current caries activity, periodontal disease or other oral pathology. - None of the subjects were using antibiotics or medications, which could have affected the salivary flow rate.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - systemic medications interfering with the condition of periodontal tissues or influencing the risk of caries development - the use of systemic antibiotics or an antibacterial mouthrinse less than two months prior to commencement of the study and during the study - local application of fluoride or antibacterial agents three months prior to start of the study - Participate in other study

The effectiveness of Bifluorid 10® und Cervitec® in preventing mineral loss and the lesion deep of caries like lesions; after four weeks in mouth; with transversal microradiography mineral content and lesion depth is to be determined
