Socioenvironmental stress

Interventions

Group 1: Study participants have two blood draws taken. The first after one day-night-rotation on intensive care unit (approx 7 days). The second after a rest phase (approx. 4 days)

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Resident on Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with regular participation in ICU rotation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Ongoing illness, medication which is known to alter blood counts

MeasureTime frame
stress induced changes in white blood cell count compared to white blood cell count after rest phase.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
stress induced changes in differential blood count compared to differential blood count after rest phase.
