Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Root Mean Square of the Successive Differences (RMSSD); measurement by HRV analysis of the ECG before and after conduction of HRV biofeedback as well as 4 weeks later. Patients of the control group receive measurements at identical time points. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| physiological parameters: spectralanalysis of HRV, skin cutaneous reaction(SCR), parameters of orthostatic reaction; psychometric parameters: craving (Obsessive Compulsive Drinking Scale , Visuelle Analogskala), anxiety and depression (State Anxiety Inventory; STAI, Beck Depression Scale; BDI). Physiological measures are obtained by HRV analysis of ECG, skin conductance and blood pressure values in lying and standing position before and after conduction of HRV biofeedback as well as 4 weeks later. Psychometric measures are obtained by means of self reporting questionnaires before and after conduction of HRV biofeedback as well as 4 weeks later.Patients of the control group receive identical measurements at identical time points. | — |
