Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: healthy male soccer players within the age range of 16 and 40 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants must not have organic or psychiatric disorders. In addition, people who need regular medication, will be excluded from participation in the study.

MeasureTime frame
In soccer players, we will examine whether there are changes before and immediately after heading: (I) in the electroencephalogram (EEG) recording brain electrical activity (which would indicate a cerebral dysfunction), (II) in attention and concentration (Trail Making Test Part A & B, d2-test) - suggesting functional neuropsychological disorders of the brain (III) in the amount of cognitive effort, attention and concentration during testing, (which could be measured with an increase in catecholamine levels after heading), (IV) in the serum values of protein S-100B and NSE, (while an increase in values might indicate slight structural lesions of the brain). (V) in the sympathetic or parasympathetic modulation of heart rate and blood pressure (which would be most likely due to changes of the control functions of autonomic centers of the brain).
