Group 1: Participants are test persons with elevated serum level of lp(a) > 50 mg/dl, without chronicl diseases and no regular medication. Blood samples are taken every month for the first year. Durin

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: lipoprotein(a) > 50 mg/dl, no relevant internal diseases, no permanent medication except oral contraceptives

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: relevant internal diseases, renal failure, liver failure, hypo-hyperthyreoidism, diabetes mellitus, hormone intake except oral contraceptives, permanent medication

Primary

Measure	Time frame
Analysis of lipoprotein(a) serum levels. In the first year once every month, in the second year every third month. The study ends with the last blood sample taken.	—

Secondary

Measure	Time frame
In each blood sample (first year once a month, second year every third month) the following parameters are analysed: Cholesterol, Triglycerides, LDL-Cholesterol,VLDL-Cholesterol, HDL-Cholesterol, HDL- and LDL-subtypes, Creatinin,GGT, ALT, AST, Albumin, Cholinesterase,TSH, HbA1c, Lp-PLA2 and lp(a)-subtypes. In test persons who gave consent apo E and apo(a) genotype is analysed.	—
