Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Makrosomic newborns (> 90. Perzentile post partum)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Newborns < 37 weeks of pregnancy, dysmorphic signs or unknown duration of pregnancy

MeasureTime frame
Identification of laboratory parameters out of the cord blood, which are qualified to verify a diabetic metabolic status during pregnancy (considering unklear or missing diagnostic findings)

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluation of the implementation of the national gestational diabetes guidlines (AWMF) in Freiburg and surrounding area with the aid of a survey conducted over a period of 4 months.
