Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. male or female patients who will underwent partial liver resection 2. age over 18 years 3. written consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. previours liver operation (Cholezystectomy is no liver operation) 2. severe infections 3. incompliant patients (because of mental disorders or drug abuse for example)

MeasureTime frame
Liver failure: The current liver function capacity is determined preoperatively and postoperatively at specific time points (6h, 1,2,3,5,10,14 and 90 POD) using LiMAx test (methacetin breath test), liver failure is defined as persistent postoperative values ??of the breath tests 100 µg / kg / h , standard value is > 315 µg/ kg / h.

MeasureTime frame
Serum levels and patterns of hepatocyte growth factor HGF, transforming growth factor beta 1 TGF-beta-1 to interleukin-6 IL-6, tumor necrosis factor alpha TNF-alpha, insulin, insulin-like growth factor 1 and growth hormone will be examined using ELISA. Measuring times are one day before the planned liver resection, and 6 hours after surgery and 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 14 and 90 days postoperatively. Standard laboratory parameters will be examined in the running. The clinical outcome will be documented The complications according to Dindo et al. will be documented.
