Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients: unilateral cleft lip and palate Controls: healthy control person

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: acute infections, drug or alcohol abusus, mental illness

MeasureTime frame
Seven saliva samples were collected to determine the cortisol level at different time points. The samples were taken at following time points. 2 minutes before the Trier Social Stress Test (TSST). 1, 10, 20, 30, 45 and 60 minutes after the TSST. Cortisol concentration was analyzed by ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry.

MeasureTime frame
The evaluation of stress-coping was performed by "Stressverarbeitungsfragebogen (SVF 120)" first described by Jahnke. Each participant has to complete the questionnaire after the TSST.
