Interventions

Group 1: Treatment group - 12x instrumental sensorimotor conditioning (12-15Hz training) consisting of 8x5min blocks
within 4 weeks Group 2: Sham group - 12x instrumental sensorimotor conditioning (randomized frequency training) consisting of 8x5min blocks
within 4 weeks Group 3: Healthy Controls and Insomnia Patients: Comparison of both groups regarding (i) procedural and (ii) declarative memory consolidation during sleep
as well as the association of memory consolidation and various sleep parameters.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: primary insomnia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: other sleep disturbances, physical, psychological or neurological disease, intake of psychotropic drugs

What: subjective and objective sleep parameters When: 1 week before and 1 week after intervention, additionally 3 month after last intervention How: Questionnaires (PSQI, sleep diaries), PSG-data (9 sleep laboratory nights per patient)
