Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| measuring of the BOLD signal with fMRI (1,5 T Siemens TIM Symphony Scanner) in 5 different paradigms: - mental imagery - language comprehension - trace conditioning - emotional empathy - pain perception The main goal of this project is to develop a method to find indications for cognitive and emotional conscious perception, including pain perception, in patient with disorders of consciousness. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Exploring neuronal basics of conscious perception: - conscious perception needs activation in secondary associative brain areas, needs integration of different areas (e.g. thalamus, precuneus) and needs synchronisation of different brain regions. | — |
