Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: preterm birth (<8th month pregnancy), congenital maxillofacial anomalies such as cleft lip and/or palate, and systemic diseases of the infant

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Registration of the incidence of anterior openbites by means of a clinical inspection. The distance of the negative overbite was measured by use of a ruler with repeated measurements.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Registration of the prevalence of neutrocclusion at the age of 27 months. Neutrocclusion was registered during clinical inspection according to the position of the first primary molars.
