Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: primary care physicinas from the Spanish NHS with a practice of their own, substitute position = two years, acceptable level of English in order to read medical texts, and Internet access. patients with advancer cancer in need of palliative care

| To determine the effectiveness of palliative care provided to patients by primary care physicians that have followed one specific online educative intervention in palliative care. The effectiveness will be measured through the Brief Pain Inventory and the Palliative Care Outcome Scale at 6 and 18 months after completion of the intervention. It will be necessary a significant difference of 20% or higher in the scores of the Brief Pain Inventory and/or a significant difference in the profile of the Palliative Care Outcome Scale in favour of the intervention group to consider the effectiveness of the educative intervention. | To determine the quality of life of patients attended by primary carer physicians included in the study; to determine the satisfaction of principal care of the patients; to measure the knowledge level, attitude and satisfaction of physicians. At 6 and 18 months The Rotterdam Symptom Checklists self-administered to patients will be compared in both groups for a statistical difference among scales and subscales to determined the impact on the quality of life of patients. The SERVQUAD questionnaire will be self-administered to the principal carer of the patient and its profile compared between groups. A basic Knowledge questionnaire and attitude questionnaire will be administered to physicians at inclusion and administered at 4 and 18 months, to test significant differences between groups. A satisfaction questionnaire will be administered to the intervention group to evaluate the quality process of the online education, at 4 months. | — |
