Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: new radiological diagnosis of a malignant glioma (MRT based) indication for surgical resection Karnofsky index of at least 70% no principal denial of chemotherapy no serious hematological, liver, kidney abnormalities precluding chemotherapy written informed consent of the patient
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: younger than 18 or older than 75 years preoperative a/o intraoperative verification of a pathology, incompatible with a malignant glioma (WHO grade III/IV) no histologically confirmed glioblastoma tumor infiltrates areas of the brain that preclude an adequate radiation dose prior tumor surgery or other treatment Karnofsky index of less than 70% severe cardiovascular disease severe hematological impairment, kidney a/o liver insufficiency which preclude chemotherapy stroke serious infection basic unwillingness to receive chemotherapy other malignancies (except basalioma) pregnancy or lactation women in childbearing age if contraception cannot be warranted dementia or other mental state which precludes comprehension of therapy and hence, informed consent
