Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: > 18 years; patients with complete denture; medical indication for relining of the complete denture; consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Addiction to medication, alcohol and/or drugs;infectional disease (Hepatitis, HIV, TBC), malignant tumours; allergies to the materials used; physiological or psychological problems; subjects unwilling to participate or unable to give their consent to participate in the study

Comparision of active and passive border moulding technique by measuring denture stability (with a gnathometer) and the number of pressure sores 4 weeks after relining	—

Measure	Time frame
Measurement of denture stability (with a gnathometer) and pressure sores (number of pressure sores) in dependence on localisation of the complete denture (upper-jaw, lower-jaw), jaw atrophy ( measurement on plaster modells with a calliper), saliva viscosity (determination in a tube) and saliva flow rate (measuremnet with "spitting method") 4 weeks after relining. Patient satisfaction was assessed by a questionnaire.	—
