Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Patients with confirmed diagnosis of Crohn's disease - Inital diagnosis after 01.01.2000 - initial treatment of first flare with mesalazine - at least 12 months follow-up - written informed consent

Identification of prognostic parameters correlation with the response to mesalazine in the first flare of Crohn's disease and during the following maintenance therapy. Documentation of historic medical data in questionnaires
