Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Received outpatient, emergency, or inpatient treatment at Guangdong Sanjiu Brain Hospital; 2. Diagnosed by a clinical physician and meets the diagnostic criteria for any of the following conditions, which can be confirmed through medical records, imaging exams, pathology tests, EEG, or other relevant clinical data: (1) Germ cell tumor: Pathologically confirmed, or clearly diagnosed by a specialist as a central nervous system germ cell tumor based on tumor markers, neuroimaging, and clinical presentation; (2) Leptomeningeal metastasis: Has a history of malignant tumor, supported by cerebrospinal fluid cytology, related CSF tests, enhanced MRI, or other clinical evidence, and diagnosed by a specialist as leptomeningeal metastasis; (3) Glioma: Pathologically and/or molecularly confirmed glioma; for those who have not undergone surgery or biopsy, patients clinically diagnosed with glioma based on imaging and multidisciplinary or specialist assessment can be included, with diagnostic basis noted; (4) Consciousness disorder: Consciousness disturbance due to brain injury or other neurological disease, evaluated by a specialist, meeting clinical diagnoses such as coma, unresponsive wakefulness/vegetative state, minimally conscious state, or other persistent consciousness disorders; (5) Epilepsy: Meets the diagnostic criteria for epilepsy according to the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE), or clearly diagnosed as epilepsy by a neurologist or epilepsy specialist; 3. Has clinical data that can be used to establish a basic medical record archive, including at least demographic information, diagnosis information, visit or hospitalization dates, and main treatment records; 4. Prospective patients or their legal representatives are able to understand the study and sign the informed consent form; patients without or with limited civil capacity must have their consent signed by their legal representatives. Retrospective cohorts follow the informed consent waiver or related requirements approved by the ethics review.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. After verification, it doesn’t meet the diagnostic criteria for any of the diseases mentioned above, or the diagnosis information can’t be confirmed; 2. The case information has obvious errors, duplicates, or contradictions, and even after checking, the patient’s basic identity, diagnosis, or actual medical visit situation can’t be determined; 3. Only appointment, consultation, physical exam, or test request records exist, without any confirmed disease diagnosis or treatment records; 4. For retrospective cases, key information is seriously missing, making it impossible to confirm the basic diagnosis or establish a basic case file; 5. Prospective patients or their legal representatives refuse to participate in the study, refuse to sign the informed consent, or withdraw consent during the study; 6. There are other situations that ethical review requirements forbid from being included.
