Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age and dentition development: Patients aged >=10 years at the initial visit. 2.Type of orthodontic treatment: Patients who underwent comprehensive orthodontic treatment with either fixed appliances, including metal or ceramic brackets, or clear aligners. 3.Completeness of baseline data: Before the initiation of orthodontic treatment (T1/time zero), complete clinical examination records, standardized intraoral and facial photographs, and cephalometric radiographs must be available.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Non-new users: Patients with a history of comprehensive orthodontic treatment or early interceptive orthodontic treatment were excluded, to ensure that all included patients were first-time recipients of orthodontic intervention and to minimize the potential residual effects of previous treatment on periodontal ligament adaptation and bone remodeling. 2.Severe anatomical or developmental abnormalities: Patients with congenital cleft lip and/or palate, severe craniofacial syndromes, or a documented history of severe maxillofacial trauma or surgery. 3.Baseline periodontal conditions: Patients with active or uncontrolled severe periodontitis before the initiation of orthodontic treatment (T1).
