Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who underwent surgical treatment for chronic lateral ankle instability in Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital between January 2020 and March 2024; 2. Aged from 18 to 60 years old; 3. Ankle pain 4. Chronic lateral ankle instability was confirmed by MRI and clinical diagnosis; 5. No significant improvement after conservative treatment for at least 3 months; 6. The anterior ankle drawer test and varus stress test were positive before operation. 7. Patients agreed to participate in the study and signed an informed consent form;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Combined with other ankle ligament injuries or abnormal alignment; 2. Previous lateral ankle ligament repair or reconstruction surgery; 3. Neuromuscular diseases; 4. The follow-up time was less than 12 months or the data were incomplete;
