Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. With full capacity for civil conduct, volunteer to participate in the study, and have guardian verification and signed informed consent. 2. 6-12 years old; 3. Diagnosed as children with normal weight (control group) or children with obesity/overweight (test group);
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Diagnosed with hereditary/syndromic/drug-induced obesity; 2. Medication treatment (antibiotics, hormones, anti-inflammatory drugs) within 1 month; 3. Acute illness such as fever, vomiting, and diarrhea occurring within 5 days; 4. Currently undergoing orthodontic treatment, as well as other oral issues such as deep caries, periodontal disease, and oral ulcers. 5. Keeping pets (e.g., cats, dogs) at home; 6. Special dietary habits, such as vegetarianism. 7. Non-Han ethnicity, non-long-term residents of the Beijing area.
