Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Bipolar disorder patients in the depressive phase: (1) Chinese, aged 18-65; (2) Capable of signing informed consent; (3) Currently meet ICD-10 diagnosis criteria F31.3, F31.4, and F31.5; (4) Currently have a 17-HDS score >= 12 and a Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS) score = 12 and a 17-HDS score < 7. 3. Bipolar disorder patients in the euthymic (stable mood) phase: (1) Chinese, aged 18-65; (2) Capable of signing informed consent; (3) Meet ICD-10 F31 diagnostic criteria currently or in the past; (4) Currently have a YMRS score < 12 and a 17-HDS score < 8.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: First part: 1. Current or past history of schizophrenia or organic mental disorders; 2. Significant suicide risk; 3. Abnormal blood indicators: blood count, AST, ALT, urea, and creatinine; 4. Severe medical conditions/hearing impairment/speech defects; 5. Crossed time zones in the past 3 months; 6. Shift workers; 7. Pregnant or breastfeeding women. Second part: 1. First part exclusion criteria; 2. History of light-induced migraine/epilepsy; 3. Currently using photosensitive drugs; 4. Presence of eye diseases, such as severe cataracts or glaucoma.
