Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age range: 12 - 18 years old. 2. Gender: No restrictions. 3. Patients with depression who meet the DSM-V criteria for unipolar depressive disorder (diagnosed by M.I.N.I.). 4. HAMD score >= 17 points. 5. No use of antipsychotic drugs or mood stabilizers in the previous 3 months. 6. Voluntary participation and informed consent from legal guardians. 7. Adequate cultural and visual comprehension to understand the research content.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. There are other mental disorders apart from severe depressive disorder. 2. Substance or alcohol abuse disorder. 3. Severe or unstable physical diseases. 4. Abnormal laboratory tests with clinical significance. 5. Pregnancy. 6. High risk of severe suicide (suicide attempts within one year or moderate or above on the "suicide" item of the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD)). 7. Received electroconvulsive therapy or repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation within the last month. 8. Currently undergoing other psychological treatments. 9. Used antibiotics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or other drugs that affect the results within the last 10. The Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ) is positive.
