Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.The medical records of patients aged 18-45 who were admitted to the emergency department due to acute carbon monoxide poisoning (COP) from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2024.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Age 45 years; 2.Not acute carbon monoxide poisoning; 3.Has a history of carbon monoxide poisoning before, or has existing neurological cognitive disorders such as stroke, dementia or Parkinson's disease before the acute event; 4. Any serious concurrent diseases that may affect the outcome, including severe heart, liver or kidney dysfunction; 5.Has received specific supportive treatments such as therapeutic hypothermia or steroids; 6. Has not completed the follow-up neurocognitive assessment after discharge; 7. Has not obtained the available carbon monoxide hemoglobin (COHb) test value within 24 hours after arriving at the emergency department; 8.Has blood system diseases or has received cancer chemotherapy, which may affect the COHb level or the results of routine blood tests; 9. Has active infection (such as aspiration pneumonia), which has been confirmed by clinical, chest X-ray or sputum culture, and may change the COHb level or other key variables; 10. Has any other life-threatening conditions that may confuse hematological parameters.
