Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Gestational age less than 37 weeks; 2.Admitted to the NICU or neonatal ward of any collaborating center during the study period.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Presence of severe congenital anomalies (e.g., esophageal atresia, congenital diaphragmatic hernia) or chromosomal abnormalities; 2.Presence of severe gastrointestinal disease at admission precluding enteral feeding; 3.Maternal contraindications to breastfeeding (e.g., HIV positive, active tuberculosis, requirement of radioactive drugs or specific chemotherapeutic agents, etc.); 4.Early death, transfer to another hospital, or unplanned discharge (e.g., due to family withdrawal of care) that prevents completion of breastfeeding assessment during hospitalization; 5.Critically missing key clinical data or feeding records that preclude determination of the primary outcome.
