Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Colonic mucosal biopsy samples were collected from UC patients and non-UC healthy donors in the Gastroenterology Department based on endoscopic findings. The diagnosis of UC was established through comprehensive clinical, radiological, endoscopic, and histopathological evaluations.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of total colectomy within 3 months before or after the scheduled colonoscopy during the predefined study period; 2.Presence of advanced colorectal neoplasia (defined as high-grade dysplasia [HGD] and/or colorectal cancer [CRC]) at the time of or prior to colonoscopy.
