Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. The participant experienced at least one inversion ankle sprain on the affected side within the past 12 months, resulting in swelling, pain, and functional impairment, while no history of ankle sprain was reported on the unaffected side. 2. The participant experienced recurrent ankle sprains or a "giving way" sensation on the affected side within the past 12 months, while no such symptoms were reported on the unaffected side. 3. The Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool (CAIT) score was <=24 points, and the anterior drawer test and talar tilt test results were negative. 4. The participant was able to independently understand the questionnaire contents and testing instructions.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. A history of lower-extremity and/or spinal fractures, surgery, or other neurological or vestibular disorders affecting postural control, as well as the use of medications that may affect postural control or sensory function. 2. Acute lower-extremity musculoskeletal injury within the past 3 months that resulted in at least one day of inability to perform normal daily activities. 3. A navicular drop =8 mm, defined as a decrease in navicular height from a seated position to a bilateral weight-bearing standing position with feet shoulder-width apart. 4. Severe visual impairment, photosensitive epilepsy, or other conditions unsuitable for exposure to electronic screens.
